Orui Walk, Riversdale, Wairarapa – Location

Travelling from Wellington?

We recommend Jim’s A Day Out Tours for hassle free door to door, airport to airport service. Let someone else do the driving so you concentrate on the walking.

A Day Out Tours www.adayout.co.nz can take your group on a tailored guided tour en-route to Orui via Greytown and Martinboroughs cafes, antique and boutique shops. Jim can recommend the best places for coffee, lunch or wine tasting and then drop you off at Orui between 3-4pm. He will collect you three days later.

How to Get Here by Car:

Do not trust a GPS as it may take you on a gravel road.

At the northern end of Masterton, turn to the east at the Mobil station, following signs to Riversdale Beach, which is 55 kms on a tarsealed road. Don’t miss the right turn-off sign to Riversdale after approximately 24 kms.

Total travelling time to Riversdale should be about 45 minutes.

At the entrance to the village, take the small road to the left, marked Orui. Go over the bridge and the Shearers Quarters are first on your left.
